Three Pillars of Herut North America

Human Rights

Human Rights is at the heart of our movement. Our founding father, Ze'ev Jabotinsky regarded each person as equal, no matter his or her social, economic or political Status. Herut, therefore, does not campaign on behalf of only Israel related issues. We will campaign for a more just and fair society, by holding human rights as a core value Jabotinsky wrote, "The first consequence of ‘every man is a king’ is, obviously, universal equality: the essence of your or my royalty is that there cannot be anyone above you or me in dignity or status. The second consequence is individual liberty: a king is nobody's subject." Herut is, therefore, politically democratic and an authentic fusion of traditionalist conservatism and classical liberalism; we believe in tree-markets, civil rights, and that evil should be confronted with power.

Jewish Unity

Our community is far too divided. This division works to the detriment of our cause and our people's interests. We work to unite all Jews, no matter their religiosity. Our motto is ‘Zion Unite' - now more than ever, standing as one people together, we are stronger.

Integrity of the Land of Israel

As the civil rights movement of the Jewish people, Zionism, is our means to national liberation. We vehemently oppose any division of Jerusalem or any other part of the land which our ancestors bequeathed to us, it is morally, historically, and legally our land. We have a duty to proactively challenge anti-Israel propaganda and educate Jews and non-Jews about our rights to the land and the security needs of Israel.
