Assistant Director, Herut North America
Yonatan Herzfeld is a proud American-Israeli and unapologetic Zionist, originally from Westchester, New York. He made Aliyah in July 2020, shortly after being drafted into the Israel Defense Forces (IDF), where he served as a sharpshooter and commander in the 101st Paratrooper Battalion. In the reserves, he demonstrated his dedication by participating in the War of Iron Swords in Gaza with Battalion 66.
Academically, Yonatan holds a bachelor’s degree in health science and healthcare management from Stony Brook University in Long Island, New York and is currently pursuing an MBA at Bar Ilan University in Ramat Gan, Israel. He also serves as the Assistant Director of World Magshimey Herut and World Herut, where he engages in community leadership and development.
Outside of his professional and military commitments, Yonatan enjoys hiking in Israel, discussing Zionist ideology and philosophy, swimming in springs and rivers, and cuddling with his cat, Pitzi. His diverse interests and strong values reflect his passion for both his heritage and his new home in Israel.
